=π‘ The Sheet Tip (The power of F4)
Did you know that the F4 key in Excel (and Microsoft office more generally including PowerPoint) is a powerful time-saver that can repeat your previous actions with just a single press? When you perform a specific action, whether it's formatting cells or inserting rows, pressing F4 immediately replicates that action for other cells or ranges.
Here are two examples of when and how you can use the F4 key to streamline your work and increase efficiency:
Formatting Cells: Suppose you've applied a specific format (e.g., bold, italic, or colored background) to a cell or range. Instead of manually formatting other cells one by one, select the target cells and press F4 to instantly apply the same format to those cells.
Inserting Rows or Columns: If you frequently add rows or columns with the same formatting and formulas, F4 is your shortcut. After inserting the row or column once, select the desired number of cells, and F4 will quickly replicate the action without the need to use the mouse or ribbon commands.
If you havenβt already - make sure you give it a go! Let us know what command youβve repeated using F4 in the comments!
